Nothing Ruins Your Day Like An Injury
- Overuse Injuries -
These are the injuries that start as minor annoyances, little tweaks. When you don't do anything to correct them, they get worse and become big problems. Simple stretching and strengthening could stop them before they begin.
- Acute Injuries -
These are the hardest to prevent because they are the breaks, strains, and sprains. To prevent these you have to build up your ability to absorb landings. The better you can absorb these forces the less likely you are to feel these injuries.
- Past Injuries -
These are the most likely new injuries because the structures have been damaged before. Most people do not rehabilitate the area in a way that makes it stronger, most get it to good enough and stop.

The best way to stay injury free is to purposely train to prevent them. Crossing our fingers and knocking on wood will only work for so long. When these fail us, it is time to identify the trouble spots and work to balance and strengthen the right areas.
