When and How I Get My Daily Exercise In

I am talking about doing the daily exercise routines I created for myself based on our Adventure Ready Plan product. These include multiple routines that range from 5 to 30 minutes long so are relatively easy to fit into my schedule depending on how much time I have that day.  That being said there a few places that they fit extra well and make motivating myself to do them easier, these include: when I wake up in the morning, during a lunch break, before I climb or do a full workout, and after I climb or do a full workout.

When I Wake Up In The Morning

This is when I do the routines most often because it is the easiest for me to motivate myself to start when it is the first thing I do. If I wait I have a tendency to not want to start at all.

I also like to get it done early because I get to feel the benefits throughout the entire day. I can reduce the soreness I am feeling right away and set myself up to have the best posture from the beginning.

And! If I miss this opportunity I have lots of others as the day goes on.

During A Lunch Break

I don't know about you, but I am not built to be on the computer for hours on end. I get antsy writing these up, editing the website, and creating plans for my clients. So, when I take a break for lunch and go through one of my exercise routines, it brings me back and makes it so I can focus better when I get back to creating the plans that help people improve their movement quality.

I suppose you could also do the routine around dinner time but I am always tired by then and, if I didn't get a routine in before dinner, it is a day I'm not doing it. That being said I know plenty of night owls that love to do them in the evening. Timed correctly this can even help you sleep better.

Before or After Climbing or A Full Workout

These routines are short and designed to help you see steady results over time. To get the faster results, you will still need to get the more standard workouts in that take a little longer and have a different goal. Before I do these or go climbing, I warm up and after I cool down.  As it turns out, the routines provided in the Adventure Ready Plans are fantastic ways to warm up and cool down.  I often either replace or supplement my warm up and cool down with these routines.

The daily exercise routines I do that help me stop slouching, keep my elbow pain away, and improve my flexibility are best done when the time and motivation are both available. It took some trial and error to learn to identify those times and make them consistent.

Get your own Adventure Ready Plan and I will help you get your routines in as well.
